MOTORBOAT LICENSE

Being a captain is one of your dreams? We can help you obtain your motoboat license. This exam is accessible to everyone.

Our training course prepares you for the practical motorboat license examination. During the lessons, we will cover all the maneuvers and exercises required by the authorities, including coming alongside, man-overboard procedures, buoy pickup, communication with the crew, nautical terminology, and more. The number of hours required to prepare for the license depends on your initial level, the regularity of your lessons, and your learning progress. We will recommend the best options for you, taking all these factors into account.

A license is required to operate a motorboat with an engine power of more than 6 kW. The minimum age requirement is 18.

Our lessons take place on RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) with our certified instructors.

Practice for the theoretical exam

While you are taking your first lessons, practice for your theoretical exam with our partners Boatdriver. Boatdriver has exceeded expectations as to preparing students for the exam.

Steps towards the motorboat license

We will then tailor a program according to your level, your availability and your needs. These lessons can be taken before, during and/or after passing the theoretical exam. As soon as you have an estimation of how many classes you will need, you can integrate your lessons to one of our packs.

Meanwhile, you will need to subscribe to the Office cantonal des véhicules – contact and registration form here. To prepare the theoretical exam, we recommend the following app Boat Driver, which has proven its efficiency among our students.

How to book a pack of courses ?

Choose your pack (5 or 10 lessons, duration).
Make a bank transfer using the details provided via this link and send us an email specifying which pack you chose.
In the email subject line, include the full name of the person whose account the pack should be credited to.
Once we receive the transfer, we will credit your account with 5 or 10 lessons (depending on the pack).
You will then be able to view your pack balance at any time on our booking platform (link), check availability, and book lessons on the dates/times of your choice.
To book using your pack: select :“Motorboat lessons 1h / 1h30” and enter 1 participant.

Our packs are individual and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are neither exchangeable nor refundable.
