Geneva Sailing School offers private and group sailing lessons on First Class and Surprise. We support you from your first steps on a boat to you holding the steer and making sailing deisions with confidence, taking into account your objectives and levels. Aiming for the sailing license? We will be by your side until you achieve your goal!

You will discover and learn all the nautical basic manoeuvers, such as setting sail, tacking, jibing, picking up a mooring, man overboard, general safety on board, sailing at different speeds, building confidence, and many other things.

For those who want to improve their knowledge, we offer advanced courses adapted to your level. On schedule : handling the spinnaker, fine-tuning the sails, balancing the helm, communication with the crew, navigation in heavy weather and routing.

Theoretical classes supplement our practical courses to enhance your knowledge and improve your competencies, for you to be able to steer and lead with confidence as a captain.

Our private lessons

Whatever your level, Geneva Sailing School offers private lessons tailored to your needs. On sailboats such as First Class and Surprise, book your courses per unit, or choose our pack formulaes to go further into sailing, on your own or with your close ones.

Our collective courses

Our collective courses encourage group learning in a friendly atmosphere : join us and become a true crew member!
Minimum 3 participants, maximum 4 for teaching quality. Available from 16 y/o.

  • Introduction
    2 h

    For those who wish to discover sailing, and take the steer for the first time(s).

  • Intermediary 2 h

    Enlightened amateur, sailor during childhood or former crew member of our monthly group introduction classes, you know how to assess the wind and wish to improve your competencies.

  • Advanced - Post-license 2 h

    You passed your boating license and wish to inprove your knowledge in order to be completly autonomous as a boat captain? Anchoring, communicating with your crew, docking, routing, mapping and many more, these courses are made for you.

  • Advanced - Spi 2 h

    The delicate art of handling downwind with the most colorful and demanding sail. Minimum intermediate level required.

  • Female crew 2 h

    A not-to-be-missed event on Saturday afternoons, this course represents the women's sailing expertise advocated by our school!

  • Half-day 4 h

    4 hours to go further within a crew! This course allows you to chose your route, make sailing decisions and adjust them along the journey. Perfect to pratice and improve your technical competences. All levels.

  • Full day 6 h

    A 6-hours course for a big step towards sailing autonomy! You will have to handle the boat as an autonomous crew, from the initial rigging to the choice of route to reach a pre-established goal! Weather assessment, decision making, charting, anchoring and much more can be covered according to the group's expectations, to deepen your skills and experience real sailing. Minimum intermediate level required.
