Practical information

We advise you to arrive at the meeting point 5 minutes before the start of the lesson, and 5 minutes before the end, so that you can meet your child as soon as he or she leaves the pontoon. Children and teenagers should arrive with a first layer of sun cream, as the reverberation is very strong on the water. Depending on the length of the course and the activities involved (swimming), children can reapply sunscreen during the course. More information on sun protection at the bottom of the page.

Team spirit !

The courses take place on “Surprise” and “First class 8” 7 to 8-meter sailboats with cabins. Whether at the helm, trimming the sails, keeping an eye on the lake or learning to recognize lake species, children learn in a fun, crewed way. Unlike a course on an “optimist” type boat, our sailboats make collaboration and communication essential to successful sailing, and encourage self-confidence and mutual support among young captains.

Summer camp

Our summer camps include a week-long adventure, for a fun way to learn.
Our two-hour courses and teen internships do not include the “adventure” dimension, but retain all the other aspects of our internships: learning to sail, but also helping others, living together, respect, discovery and awareness of the lake environment and its preservation.

Languages

All our instructors are bilingual in both english and french.
Our pirate courses are mostly in french, and some weeks the camps are specificaly in english.
In our experience, we have found that children, even if they speak different languages, will adapt quickly and always find ways to communicate and have fun.
Some of our instructors also speak spanish and italian.

Sun protection

In collaboration with la ligue genevoise contre le cancer, we would like to draw your attention to the importance of sun protection for yourself and your child, particularly during summer activities in the water or in the mountains. We recommend that you chose a sunscreen that is environmentally friendly.
