Frequently asked questions

Individual courses

For bookings within 24 hours, please contact us directly by phone during opening hours, or by email or WhatsApp message. Please note that during peak season, it is best to book in advance.

Payment for our private lessons packages can only be made by bank transfer, to the bank details you received after registering for the pack of your choice, in the prepaid credits on the Bookeo platform. In your Bookeo space, you will then be able to book your lessons on your own schedule.

Let us know directly about your wish, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone’s availability. Please note that we cannot guarantee that all your classes will be with the same instructor.

Have you visited our dedicated D license page?

Group courses

You will find more details about each level in our courses descriptions. If you are unsure, please contact us directly, and/or book a first two-hour private lesson, so we can assess your level and guide you towards the most suited course.

No, our offers for multiple courses, whether private packs or group courses, are nominative. The only exception applies to private lessons for two people: you can take this package of lessons in your own name and invite different people with you each time, as long as you let us know in advance. The schedule of our group courses is set up in advance, therefore it is not possible to replace the course if you are not available at one of the dates.

If you gather enough people who are willing to take a group course (from 3 participants), we can discuss about opening a class that was not on our schedule, in accordance with everyone’s availabilty.

Children/teenagers courses

I am considering entrusting you with my offspring, my flesh and blood and apple of my eye for a pirates/children camp, BUT:

Lifejackets are mandatory for every child and teenager during our sailing camps, from beginning to end, regardless of the weather. The only moment where children are allowed to take them off is during lunchbreak, if taken on land.

Before the courses, you will be asked to fill a form: please specify any allergies your child may have, so that we can be vigilant.

All our instructors are bilingual in both english and french.
Our pirate camps are mostly in french, and some weeks the camps are specificaly in english. In our experience, we have found that children, even if they speak different languages, will adapt quickly and always find ways to communicate and have fun.
Some of our instructors also speak spanish and italian.

A one-week pirate camp might be unadvised for a child who has a specific fear of the water environment. You might start with taking a 2-hours private lesson with your family, or register them for our children courses of 2 hours per week?

Delay and cancellation

If you are late for a private lesson, contact us as soon as possible so that your instructor can wait for you and adjust your lesson, in order for you to make the most of the time you have left.
If you are going to be late for a group lesson, please contact us as soon as possible, as the boat sometimes leaves the dock very quickly.

Any course cancelled less than 36-hours in advance, without providing us with a medical certificate, will be billed. This decision has been made because of scheduling reasons, out of respect for our instructors and also the people who wanted to sail at that very moment. Please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can free up your place: if another person books your former slot, we will be able to reimburse you.

No, for several reasons: the wind changes quickly on lake Léman, and the jet d’eau often creates its own windy area nearby. Even without wind, there are many other aspects to sailing that we will have the opportunity to cover during a calmer course. There’s always something new to learn!

If the weather conditions do not present a safety hazard to the crew or the boat, rain alone is not a sufficient factor for postponing a course.

Hopefully, we have already called you to suggest other slots in more pleasant sailing conditions.

In conclusion
